Winds of Spirit

Winds of Spirit describes how author Renee Baribeau found Wind and how the reader can use the wind in their own life.

This well-written book is an informative insight into wind and all that is associated with it. I never realised that there was so much interesting information about the wind! The book is also a personal account of how the author overcame her addictions with help from the wind.

The first of the book’s four parts describes the foundations of wind-work and sets out the argument for welcoming the wind into your life. The second part describes the four directions of the wind comprehensively and how to work with these directions. The third describes methods of using wind in a practical way and the final part is a collection of deities associated with the wind from around the world.

The variety of sources the author has drawn on is impressive; it seems to me that the research for the book must have taken her many years! I was particularly struck by these words on page 46: “You cannot reach a destination if you plot your course from the bridge of someone else’s ship; you must determine your own location if you want to navigate through life successfully”.

Winds of Spirit gives the reader ‘tools’ to work with the wind to support them through life; a great book for anyone with an interest in the wind or with a curiosity to discover new ideas and practical tools for living.
